There are no redos only second chances, sometimes.
Unfortunately in motorcycling there are no redos but if you're prepared you may get a second chance. If I had to pick one word to sum up it up it would be selfish. So often we see motorcyclist engaging in reckless activities without caring about the possible repercussions. You see, when you ride you don't only ride for you, you ride for everyone else too. If your actions cause injury or worse to yourself, think of your loved ones who are going to suffer from it for years to come. What if you hurt or kill someone else? You have now changed the lives of so many people because of a careless act of selfishness. None of us wants to get the news that a love one has been injured or kill by a reckless rider. Think of yourself and how you would feel getting that news.
We can't prevent everything but we can avoid a lot. Sorry may show remorse but it doesn't bring anyone back. It takes a fraction of a second to get into a situation that you may spend the rest of your life paying for.
So the next time you suit up to ride think. Think about how you're going to ride, think about the repercussions poor decisions can cause, think of the people whose lives you may affect, think about getting home safely and preparing to ride another day.
