I hadn't been on a motorcycle in about 4 decades and turned 69 on a recent cross country trip. I got a lot of the same "concerns" from friends and family.
I've worked alongside many women in what would be considered "male" dominated professions IE automotive tech, bicycle tech etc. Never doubted a woman's demonstrated abilities or thought it strange or unusual.
Coming back to motorcycling, the differences I've noticed between male and female riders is mostly ego. Women, in general, don't appear to be as ego driven and they're not as likely to do stoopid stuff or show off.
